I'm a recumbent trike gravel rider up north. The trike is a full suspension tadpole trike that I take off the beaten path, hard packed trails, gravel roads, minimum maintenance roads, back roads and regular pavement. I also commute to work on the trike. I received these tires yesterday and have put just over 30 miles on them. I started with high pressure, 60 psi. They were plenty fast, but the ride was harsh and steep climbs (11% grade plus) were a little challenging with some slips on loose rocks and sand. Bombing back downhill, the front tires provided more than enough grip for braking and high speed turning. Plenty of grip for hardpack and pavement. Tonight I decided to lower the pressure to 25 psi rear and 30 psi front. The grip on the climb was astonishing. No slipping on the steep pavement portion of the climb. The tire "rolled/deformed" over the loose gravel rather than spin on them. On pure gravel, only a very few slips occurred. Speed was also nearly if not just as fast as 60 psi. The bomb back downhill, I can hit 50 mph on other BMX racing tires (Schwalbe Shreddas, sadly discontinued). I hit 47.8 and that was with braking for people walking down the hill. I think these are just as fast. The only concern would be pinch flats on the really rough stuff at such low pressure. I'm inflating them to 30 psi to see how that goes. The only question now is long term toughness/durability. Hopefully they are as tough as they are fast. Highly recommend.
